Moving House::

We have some very exciting big things coming this year. We have to take things slowly as big projects come in their own time. A huge challenge to get new things off the ground but we are pacing ourselves! We have plenty of time for our little ones in the snow...

The large white flakes danced and swirled around us. It was just magical to be in our own home and see our garden transformed. And every time the snow fell the fairy wrens and red robins from our garden came out and danced in them, it was stunning. I must paint more of them. The kids made a snowman outside the kitchen door and were delighted when a pademelon ate its carrot nose off!

With big things under way it's so important to make time for the little things. Our bulbs are all springing up, we don't know what they are yet but are sure there are some bluebell clusters! The kids and I are busily planted daffodils and tulips on our second day of moving in, they are a wonderful sign of spring,  our first here.

I have some new paintings finished which are available in our shop.Yay!

  This painting is called 'Uplands'. It is inspired by those long drives on the midlands highway that we did when I was little. I remember seeing all the animals in the paddocks and always worried about them; I always wanted them to be safe and happy. This painting is a sort of imagining of a special, peaceful place where the animals could go to and be loved and nurtured and understood. A place where everything, on that busy and fast highway, stops for a little while...

This painting is titled 'Moving House'. With three kids it certainly left its mark. Best move ever! My eldest son understood the term 'moving house' to mean actually moving a house. I always wanted to paint that.
