:: Finders Keepers ::

We had a great time in Melbourne with our first Finders Keepers market. It was soooo busy! We were thrilled with the response our work received from designers, beautiful shop owners and the wonderful customers who came to our stall. It is always a bit nerve wracking taking your work somewhere new but it was all worthwhile. Big thankyou to everyone involved in such a big event! Our work will be in some lovely shops in Victoria and online, I will post soon. We spent a beautiful sunny afternoon in the Royal Exhibition Building gardens, our son loved the fountain of Greek Gods...

We miss Melbourne sometimes, we have some very special friends and favourite restaurants but even with a very little one managed to eat out lots, have some great catch ups and, on the way to galleries, admire the stunning architecture. Our son made a very special request to visit an old library, he loves reading, so we went to the State Library and saw the old desks with green glass lamps and the exhibition Mirror of the World. To see Audubon's The Birds of America was a real treat; it's one metre tall! I loved seeing all the botanical illustrations in this exhibition in their book form, they are so detailed.

 We were so lucky to have Grandparents come with us. It was great to catch the ferry (our kids love it!) and visit our favourite little towns and stockists. Now it's time to get some new paintings on the go! Feeling very inspired...
